The Intimate Rider was designed by a gentleman in the USA who lives with C6-7 spinal cord injury who recognised that technology, with the help of clever design, could assist people with spinal conditions to maintain their sexuality and intimate relationships. The chair was designed with a low centre of gravity to allow a smooth, gliding motion when engaging in penetrative sex. It can be made to swing with minimal effort and so it can be useful for people living with many different types of physical disability.
To enjoy penetrative sex, simply transfer into the seat and start with a gentle back and forth motion. Your partner can be positioned in front of you using the love seat or you could adapt the positioning using our Liberator Wedges.
